Nigerian content creator and TikToker, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, has shared her childhood struggles, revealing she was forced to work at a young age to make ends meet.
Jarvis recounted doing menial jobs, including working as a salesgirl for several people, and getting robbed at her workplace on one occasion, which left her devastated.
Despite the challenges, Jarvis’ boss showed compassion and forgiveness after the incident, deducting the stolen goods’ value from her salary while offering words of encouragement.
Jarvis said her early exposure to hard labour may be why she struggles to embrace her femininity, saying, “At a young age, I became a man. Maybe that is why it is so difficult for me to act like a lady.”
Fans and followers have reacted to Jarvis’ story, with some expressing sympathy and admiration for her resilience, while others have questioned the extent of her struggles.
