A chieftain of the opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engineer Buba Galadima, has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has delivered nothing to Nigeria other than hardship.
“We haven’t seen any improvement—not improvement where what ₦10 used to buy; can’t even be bought with ₦1,000 now,” Galadima said in a BBC Hausa interview.
Galadima’s comments reflected the growing sense of impatience amongst many Nigerians, particularly over the continued hardship towards evolving cost-of-living crisis and economic condition.
The NNPP chieftain dismissed President Tinubu’s achievements, claiming Nigerians have seen no concrete and real progress.
President Tinubu had marked two years of his administration’s assumption of office by reeling out the achievements of his administration, particularly with respect to his economic reform agenda, as well as improving security, probing corruption, abating poverty, and managing the country’s domestic debt levels.
