US Vice President JD Vance revealed that President Donald Trump wants both the United States and India to grow, emphasizing the potential for a mutually beneficial partnership between the two nations.
“The two countries can collaborate across various sectors, including trade, defense, and energy,” Vance said while speaking in Rajasthan, a day after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
Vance’s visit to India comes at a crucial time, as the country is working to secure an early trade deal with the US, its largest trading partner, before a 90-day pause on steep tariffs announced by Trump’s administration expires.
The US and India have made significant progress in trade negotiations, with both sides finalizing the terms of a potential trade agreement and laying the groundwork for future discussions.
