Former Senate President and PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, Adolphus Wabara, has slammed President Bola Tinubu’s claims of economic revival, describing them as an insult to Nigerians struggling with severe hardship.

Wabara pointed out that the current economic situation, characterized by soaring inflation, widespread hunger, and deepening poverty, starkly contradicts Tinubu’s assertions of economic improvement.

According to Wabara, if the economy had truly revived, Nigerians would be the first to experience the positive impact, but market prices and living conditions suggest otherwise.

Wabara urged Tinubu to focus on genuine economic reforms in the remaining two years of his tenure, particularly reviewing policies like multiple taxation that stifle businesses.

He also called for urgent action to address Nigeria’s security crisis, which has displaced farmers and exacerbated food shortages.

Wabara accused the APC of mismanaging the economy, which he claimed was once among Africa’s top two during the PDP’s tenure.

Wabara concluded firmly that the economy can only recover when the PDP returns to power in 2027.
