We Reviewed Sanction On Members To Build Party Unity, Says PDP NWC

With political battle shifting to National Assembly leadership tussle and outcomes various electoral petition outcomes, National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has explained that its decision to review sanctions on it’s members was to build cohession towards the battle ahead.

 

The NWC at its meeting on Thursday, March 30, 2023, reviewed sanctions by previous leadership of the party placed on prominent members of the party like Ibrahim Shema, former governor, Katsina State, Ayodele Fayose, Sen. Pius Anyim, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar and Dr. Aslam Aliyu.

 

“The NWC recognized the imperativeness of a total reconciliation among Party leaders and critical stakeholders for a more cohesive Party in the overall interest of our teeming members and Nigerians in general,” the NWC explained in statement signed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba National Publicity Secretary of PDP.

 

The party, on that basis reversed the referral of the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, to the National Disciplinary Committee, too.
