World Environment Day: Ighodalo Vows to Prioritize Environmental Conservation if Elected

In honour of this year World Environment Day, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Edo State Governorship electtion, has vowed to prioritize environmental conservation.

If elected, Ighodalo promises to plant 200,000 trees within his first 100 days in office.

This initiative is part of a broader plan to plant 1 million trees each year. Ighodalo emphasized the importance of environmental sustainability and the need to strengthen resilience against climate change through proactive measures.

He said, “On my part, If I am elected as the Governor of Edo state, I pledge to plant 200,000 trees in my first 100 days in office, towards a target of one million trees annually. Our collective actions will build resilience against climate change and secure a sustainable and prosperous future for Edo State.”
