Ciata Jolie, a Nigerian model and beauty expert, has cried out in pain after a man she trusted enough to do business with, duped her of all her life savings.
In a video she posted on her Instagram page, Ciata said that she had been scammed of all the monies she has been saving, in less than a month.
The model lamented that as a result of this, 2023 has turned out as the most difficult year for her.
Ciata stated that her dream was to acquire a piece of land, so in December 2022, she went to her hometown with money she had saved up and acquired one.
She claimed to have seen a plot of land in her state and spoke to the owner, who said he had inherited it from his father. According to her, he was quite persuasive, so she handed him the first payment of N4 million, and he then signed the required papers. Thereafter, she began fencing the property in January 2023, with the help of her father.
Ciata further explained that she even paid N350,000 as development charge, before she began work on the land.
Unfortunately, she received a call from someone claiming ownership of the same land as she was about to depart the hometown.
She was knocked off balance.
Ciata claimed that she discovered the land has been sold before and she was so unfortunate to fall victim for the notorious man that claimed he owns it.
She advised others not to fall into such problem and learn from her mistakes.
