Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Ola Aina will undergo a scan to determine the severity of his injury.
Aina was forced off during Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
The defender required treatment on the pitch in the first half for what appeared to be a calf problem and was replaced by Alex Moreno.
Aina left the stadium on crutches, indicating a potential spell on the sidelines.
According to Nuno, “We have to assess; it is always a concern when a player gets injured by himself.”
The manager added that Aina’s injury is uncertain, saying, “He is going to have a scan, and we will see how it is.”
Aina has scored twice in 30 league appearances for Nottingham Forest this season.
