FRSC Launches Investigations Into Viral Clash Between Personnel, Driver In Edo

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said it has launched a large scale investigation into a viral video making rounds on social media showing a heated argument between some of its officers and a motorist along Abudu, Edo State, on Saturday, 25 October 2025.

In a swift response, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, expressed deep concern over the incident and ordered an immediate investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

Mohammed, in a statement issued on Sunday, reaffirmed the Corps’ zero tolerance for misconduct, noting that the FRSC will not condone any form of unprofessional behaviour that tarnishes its reputation for integrity and discipline.

The Corps Marshal further urged the public to remain calm and continue to show cooperation and respect towards FRSC officers, who are dedicated to maintaining safe roads and protecting lives nationwide.

He, however, warned that while the Corps will not shield any erring officers, it will also not tolerate assaults or acts of aggression against its personnel while performing their lawful duties.
