Abia Government on High Alert After Bandits’ Attack

The Abia State government has confirmed security breaches in Umunneochi Local Government Area, resulting in fatalities.

The state government has put security agencies on full alert to address the issue, ensuring no stone is left unturned in activating the state’s security architecture.

According to the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, “The State security agencies have been put on full alert as the state government would not leave any stone unturned in activating the entire security architecture of the state to address the issue of security breaches.”

Governor Alex Otti has vowed that no part of the state will be yielded to criminals.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner announced that there is no outbreak of diphtheria, Mpox, cholera, and Lassa fever in Abia.

He said a total of 91,227 persons have enrolled in the Abia State Social Health Insurance Scheme.

Truth Live News reports that the State government is set to flag off four housing estates at Mgbarakuna, Obehie, Mbaisi, and Valley View.

The government concluded by reiterating its unflagging commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.
