Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has reaffirmed his commitment to the Bundesliga club, following a failed transfer to Al Nassr.
Despite agreeing on terms with Al Nassr, the Saudi club pulled out of the deal, opting instead to sign Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.
Boniface, who returned to training with Leverkusen on Thursday, is now focused on helping his team achieve their goals.
“Transfer rumours are normal in football. It’s flattering when big clubs show interest, but my focus is 100% on Bayer Leverkusen,” he stated.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international has been impressive this season, scoring eight goals in 15 league appearances for Leverkusen.
With his mind now on the task at hand, Boniface is set to feature against TSG Hoffenheim this weekend.
