This process of voting on Saturday in Esanland, affords the vast majority of Esan people, the moral rectitude and certainty of ensuring that, the office of the Senate in Edo Central Senatorial District, isn’t an exclusive right or property of an individual.
Since the inception of this current democratic dispensation in 1999, the previous occupant of the office of Senate in Esanland, Senator (Prof) Oserhiemen Osunbor and Senator (Dr) Odion Ugbesia, did the agreed and acceptable two terms, which consequently paved way for Senator Ordia in 2015.
The attempt of Senator Odion Ugbesia to via for a third term in 2015 was vehemently stopped. Consequently, the current Senator, Clifford Ordia became the profound beneficiary of that collective decision and action of Esan people.
In view of the above, it is a clear case of untamed greed and extreme political betrayal as demonstrated by Senator Clifford Ordia, in his inordinate quest to realize a third term agenda, which he aggressively condemned, intensely fought against and unhealthily called Ebola disease in 2015.
Above all, the manner in which Senator Ordia betrayed his close political associates, friends and Esan people, in his desperation to pick the senatorial ticket from Governor Obaseki faction, is something that political students need to study closely in tertiary institutions in the incoming years.
Senator Ordia’s untamed greed and selfish desire to appropriate the office to himself, as if, it is his personal property, through his attempt for a third term, must be stopped by Esan people, because, third term as we all know, is a taboo in Esanland!
On Saturday, let us come out enmass and cast our vote for Monday Okpebholo (aka) Akpakomiza, in order to stop Senator Ordia, whose untamed greed and selfish desire, is to engender a political crisis in Esanland.
It is important that Esan people stop Senator Ordia and Governor Obaseki come Saturday through the ballot, so that, our Esan Agenda in 2024 can be a reality!
If Senator Clifford Ordia can sell-out his friends and Esan people, in order to get a third term ticket from Governor Obaseki’s faction, he will not hesitate to sell-out Esan Agenda in 2024, for his untamed greed that is on rampage!
