    Nicki Minaj Crowned Greatest Female Rapper of All Time

    Nicki Minaj has been named the greatest female rapper of all time by Billboard, topping a list that features hip-hop legends such as Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, and Queen Latifah.

    The list, compiled by Billboard staff, ranks Minaj as the best female rapper in history, followed by Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, Lil’ Kim, and Queen Latifah at numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively.

    Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, often considered rivals to Minaj, ranked outside the top 10, with Cardi B at number 11 and Megan Thee Stallion at number 15.

    Despite being widely regarded as the greatest female rapper in history, Minaj has yet to win a Grammy Award, while her rivals Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have both won Grammys in rap categories.

    The top 10 list also includes MC Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, Roxanne Shanté, Eve, and Foxy Brown, showcasing a diverse range of talented female rappers who have made significant contributions to the genre.

    Nigerian actress, Lizzy Anjorin has claimed that she’s more holier than gospel singer, Tope Alabi.

    The actress stated this while reacting to the controversy over Tope Alabi’s refusal to perform at her birthday.

    Tope Alabi, was paid to surprise an undisclosed celebrant, she refused to perform after she discovered the actress was the celebrant.

    The surprise birthday celebration took an unexpected turn when Tope and Soji Alabi, her husband, who doubles as her manager, refused to come out of the car when they arrived at the venue.

    Reacting to the development on her Instagram page, Anjorin criticised the surprise organizers, claiming she is holier than the gospel singer.

    Anjorin claimed she does not need Tope Alabi because the best of her songs are in her album and she can easily play them at home.

    “Aunty Tope, I love you but I do not need you. If I had invited her myself, I would not have paid a dime.

    “I’m holier than you, aunty mi Tope. If we are to ask about your impact in society, I have impacted more lives than you. I’m holier than you. I have done more good than you did and I am pure. If you judge me because of my court cases, I am thankful that God did not judge me”.

    Popular Nollywood actress and movie producer, Funke Akindele, has said that for anyone to succeed and make exploits in life, the person must be willing to do the dirty work.

    Speaking on the ‘WithChude’ podcast, Akindele explained that doing the dirty work is one of the requirements of achieving success in one’s career.

    In addition, the actress identified hard work and dedication to duty and responsibilities as key to success.

    Revealing the secrets to her most talked-about successes, Akindele said, “Let me say that a lot of people want to do what I am doing, but I keep telling them: for you to be successful, you need to work hard and do the dirty work.”

    She maintained that she refused to dwell on or allow present successes in the industry to affect her work, but remained focused and undistracted.

    While not ruling out the place of spirituality in the entertainment journey, she highlighted the importance of self-awareness and originality in making headway in the sector, attributing her four consecutive years of success in the Nigerian box office to her intentionality and desire for perfection.

    Joy Raimi Mojisola has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025.

    The 24-year-old, representing Osun State in the contest, emerged as the winner after a competitive grand finale held in Lagos at the weekend.

    The competition, which had 37 contestants from all the states in Nigeria, was narrowed down to 20 finalists.

    In the final round, Raimi faced off against Miss Ebonyi, Miss Abuja, Miss Abia, and Miss Imo.

    Following her victory, Raimi will represent Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant in India from May 7 to 31.

    She will be competing against 140 countries at the forthcoming contest.

  • BBNaija Uriel Offers to Adopt Baby Abandoned in Kogi

     

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate Uriel Oputa has offered to adopt a baby who was abandoned by the riverside in Kogi State.

    A resident of the Ajaokuta area of Kogi State, Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, posted a video of a baby girl who was reportedly found crying near the Niger Bridge by a community leader.

    The leader mentioned that some baby clothes, a wrapper, and other items were also found at the scene.

    He added that the community would notify the local government authorities and care for the baby until they could identify the mother.

    Reacting in the comments section of a blog that shared the video, Uriel offered to adopt the child.

    She pledged to provide excellent care for the baby if allowed to adopt her, writing, “Please let me have her. She will never go hungry.”

    It remains unclear whether the reality star has contacted the relevant authorities to begin the adoption process.

    Speaking in a recent livestream with streamer Adin Ross, Rubi Rose revealed that the man she dates must have as much money as she is having.

    According to her, since men won’t date ugly girls, she chooses not to be in a relationship with a guy who is broke.

    Rubi Rose added that her kind of man must make at least $5 million dollars in a year.

    “A potential date should be rich, at least as much money as I have. He should make at least $5 million per annum.

    “Men won’t date ugly girls, so I don’t want to date a broke guy. My man should make at least $5 million yearly. And I don’t want a man that is into illegal dealings,” the rapper stated.

    Popular Bollywood actor and director Manoj Kumar has passed away at the age of 87.

    Kumar reportedly passed on after a brief illness in Mumbai,
    Dr. Santosh Shetty of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where Kumar was admitted, confirmed.

    Kunal Goswami, told ANI news agency that the veteran actor had been battling health issues for a long time.

    Kumar, celebrated for his patriotic films, gained widespread fame in the 1960s and 1970s. His body of work left an indelible mark on Indian cinema, shaping the nation’s film landscape.

    Born as Harikrishan Goswami in 1937 in Punjab, Kumar made a name for himself with films such as Shaheed, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan, and Kranti.

    Known for their patriotic themes, his movies resonated deeply with Indian audiences.

    Over the years, Kumar received several prestigious accolades, including the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor.

    His immense contributions to cinema were further recognized with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the country’s highest film honor.

    Following the news of his demise, tributes flooded social media.

    Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed him as an “icon of Indian cinema,” writing on X, “Manoj Ji’s works ignited a spirit of national pride and will continue to inspire generations

    Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit also paid tribute, describing Kumar’s passing as “a great loss to the [film] industry” and emphasizing that “the entire industry would miss him.”

    Natasha Osawaru, the Edo lawmaker, has updated her Instagram bio to include the surname of Nigerian music legend, 2Baba.

    This change follows series of public events surrounding 2Baba’s personal life, which has been under controversy since his split from wife Annie, in January.

    The drama began when 2Baba publicly announced his separation from Annie and soon after revealed his new relationship with Natasha.

    The music star’s proposal to Natasha in February further intensified the media frenzy, with 2Baba insisting that their romance was unrelated to his split from Annie.

    However, Natasha’s recent Instagram update is seen as a clear indication of her growing association with the singer.

    As of now, Natasha’s Instagram bio identifies her as “Honourable Natasha IDIBIA,” with the surname highlighted in all caps.

    This development comes just days after 2Baba’s estranged wife, Annie, reverted to her maiden name on social media, removing “Idibia” from her profile and opting to go by “Annie Uwana Macaulay.”

    2Baba’s mother, Rose Idibia, had before now publicly appealed to Natasha to distance herself from her son, urging her to respect the family’s wishes and move on.
