    Transfer: Southampton Complete Signing Of City’s 18-year-old Lavia

     

    Premier League side, Southampton have completed the signing of Belgium teenage midfielder, Romeo Lavia from Manchester City.

     

    According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal has been completed for a fee of £15m and a buy back clause by Manchester Cityr for a fee of £40m on the deal.

     

    The 18-year-old Belgium under-19 midfielder had successfully completed his medical test on Tuesday.

     

    He said, “Romeo Lavia to Southampton, deal now completed and here we go confirmed. Lavia has successfully completed his medical tests today afternoon.

     

    £12m guaranteed fee, Manchester City will also have buy back clause around £40m.”

  • Transfer: USMNT Youngster, Tyler Adams Set To Join Leeds

     

    The Premier League side, Leeds United have struck a deal with RB Leipzig to sign the United States international, Tyler Adams and a potential re-union with coach Jesse Marsch.

     

    According to Fabrizio Romano, Adams deal is done and completed for a fee of £20m [add-ons included] as Leeds manager, Jesse Marsch had wanted him.

     

    The American international will travel to England for his medical tests and sign a long deal with the Club.

     

    He said, “Leeds are set to sign Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig, done deal and here we go! Deal completed for £20m fee [add ons included]. It’s 100% agreed, Jesse Marsch wanted him.

     

    Adams will travel to England soon to undergo medical tests and sign long term deal with Leeds.”

  • Transfer: AC Milan In Talks With Chelsea For Ziyech Move

    AC Milan are currently in talks with Chelsea for the possible move of their Moroccan wizard, Hakim Ziyech.

     

    According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations have been ongoing between AC Milan and Chelsea for the past two weeks to reach the final formula for the deal.

     

    Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel is open to letting the player go while Ziyech would be happy to join AC Milan this summer.

     

    He said, “AC Milan are working on many deals. Negotiations are ongoing with Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech, the player wants to join Milan this summer.”

    Manchester United and Portugal international forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told the club he wants to leave as he’s not happy with the current situation of the club.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed to extend his contract with the Italian side, AC Milan for another season.

    Many had thought that the Sweden forward would retire from active football after he had a troubling season full of injuries last season, the 40-year-old has defied odds to play one more season.

    According to Fabrizio Romano, the Sweden international who will be turning 41 in October will sign until 2023.

    He said, “Zlatan Ibrahimović won’t retire this summer and will sign new deal with AC Milan: done and sealed.

    Zlatan will sign until June 2023, as reported tonight on @skysport: he’s gonna stay for one more season.

    Ibrahimović suffered knee injury and his recovery will take 6/7 months but he wants to continue with AC Milan.

    New salary will be around €1/1.5m net per season with bonuses related to goals & more.

    Ibrahimović will be 41 in October: unreal!”

    Paris Saint German have fired former Tottenham Manager, Mauricio Pochetino as manager and head coach of the club and have appointed the former Nice coach, Christophe Gatier as the new head coach of the club.

    Announcing the new head coach, Gatier, PSG revealed that the Club is delighted to announce the appointment of the first team head coach.

    It reads, “Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce that Christophe Galtier has been appointed as first team head coach.”

  • Transfer: Manchester United Announce Signing Of 22-year-old Youngster

     

    Manchester have announced the signing of 22-year-old Dutch left-back, Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord on for a fee of €15m plus €2m in ad-ons.

     

    Malacia have signed a contract deal with the Red Devils that will see him at the club till 2026 with option for further season.

     

    The Dutch youngster during his first press conference has hailed the United manager and expressed that it’s an ‘incredible’ feeling to have joined the club.

  • Breaking: CAF Postpones 2023 AFCON Over Weather Of Host Country

     

    Confederation of African Football (CAF) has postponed its flagship competition, the Africa Cup of Nations.

     

    The biannual competition was initially slated to hold in January 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire but the continental body, arising from its meeting in Rabat, Morocco, on Sunday has shifted the tournament to January and February of 2024.

     

    CAF also announced changes in Champions League and Confederation Cup finals.

     

    CAF Executive Committee led by Patrice Motsepe took the decision to shift the AFCON initially, billed for June and July 2023, saying it was due to the concerns over the rainy season in Cote d’Ivoire.

     

    Recall that while speaking to French daily publication Le Monde last week, CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba, admitted they were considering a change in the date due to the weather conditions.

     

    “We are considering it; it is one of the possibilities.

    “We asked Ivorian meteorologists to report to us on rainfall history in Côte d’Ivoire in June and July, but also to share their projections with us.”

     

    Aside the decision to postpone the 2023 AFCON, the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup finals were reverted back to home and away format.
