Victor Osimhen has cemented the importance of Galatasaray maintaining their momentum in the Turkish Super Lig title race.
The Nigerian striker scored the winning goal in Galatasaray’s 2-1 comeback victory over Alanyaspor on Sunday.
The win extended Galatasaray’s lead at the top of the table to seven points, with Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce having a game in hand.
Osimhen, who acknowledged the significance of the win and praised the team’s second-half improvement, said, “We were not very good in the first half, but we improved ourselves in the second half. We knew every match until the end of the season would be difficult… We will try to maintain our momentum.”
