Former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf has predicted that Lamine Yamal will win the Ballon d’Or award this year.
The Frenchman snubbed his countryman Ousmane Dembelè, despite the PSG star’s impressive performance in the 2024-25 season.
According to Leboeuf, “I don’t think Dembele will win the Ballon d’Or. I think Lamine Yamal will win it.”
Yamal’s agent, Jorge Mendes, shares a similar opinion, stating that “He’s been the best in the world this season and that’s clear, so Ballon d’Or would be deserved.”
In the 2024-25 season, Dembelè scored 33 goals and assisted 15 goals in 49 games for PSG, while Yamal scored 18 goals and made 25 assists in 55 games for Barca.
